Help Us Help Others

Dear Town of Union Friends and Neighbors,

50 YEARS!

Incorporated in 1972, planning to provide the best Emergency Medical Service for the Town of Union continued until June 1, 1973. It was on this date that Union Volunteer Emergency Squad responded to our first call for service. For 50 years we have been in continuous service to our community, responding to hundreds of thousands of 9-1-1 requests for service, providing high quality pre-hospital emergency medical services.

Meeting our mission to the Town of Union Community would not be possible without the gracious support from many, ensuring we continue to serve and protect. As we look forward to the next 50 years, your continued support will help us grow and respond to the more than 11,000 calls per year that we currently experience.

As we celebrate 50 years, we continue planning to keep up with ever-changing demands. This year, in collaboration with area healthcare partners, we have launched a Community Paramedic program. This program augments hospital, home and primary healthcare services to improve access to care and services for our patients. Our Community Paramedics have been busy completing nationally accredited training to expand and provide service and support to Community members who may not have access to or availability for traditional healthcare services.

Whether assisting in long term wound care, providing ongoing assessment and monitoring of chronic medical conditions, ensuring medication compliance, facilitating telehealth services with specialists, facilitating laboratory testing in the home, and navigating access to the many valuable social services available in Broome County, the program has experienced positive outcomes in short time, none of which we could accomplish without your support.

Your tax-deductible donation provides crucial and timely support that allows us to continue to focus on our core mission of providing high quality and innovative emergency medical services with care and compassion to the Town of Union Community.

We “Thank You!” for your continued support, and please stay safe!

Graciously,

UVES Board of Directors
